EquiPad x
The Period Project

Because periods are part of our biology, we set out to make good period products as accessible as toilet paper in public. When menstruators have access to comfortable products, we can show up fully.

About EquiPad

Hi! We’re Sanjana and Pooja. We met in a sustainability class at UC Berkeley where we realized how much plastic waste period products, generate (over 200,000 tons a year!).

We know how frustrating it is to get our period in class or work, have to scavenge the bathrooms for products, make makeshift toilet paper tampons, or just give up and go home. Menstruators shouldn't have to do that! If we're not paying for toilet paper, why are we paying for period products?

Because periods are part of our biology, we set out to make good period products as accessible as toilet paper in public.

We created EquiPad to make it as easy as possible for public spaces to stock comfortable sustainable period products. When menstruators have access to comfortable period products, we can show up fully, transforming our workplaces, classrooms, and communities into more equitable spaces.

We are currently piloting on UCB Campus this year! Please reach out to TPP/EquiPad to see our dispensers in your building!
